Autumn Leaves

So a few weeks ago a friend of mine was talking to me about his plans to throw a fall themed party showcasing local artists in Atlanta. During our conversation he asked me if I would be able to contribute 1 or 2 prints for the party to help with the decor. Being excited about his idea I quickly responded with a "Sure!" and within the next 5 minutes thought to myself.... "I'm not sure that I have any shots that I've taken specifically around the fall." The reason I preface these shots with this story is because if I hadn't talked to this guy about his party, I never would've gotten the inspiration that I did to take Carly around on a shoot across most of east Atlanta. So I owe big thanks to Robert for throwing a killer party and a big thanks to Carly for being my impromptu model for the day!

Zach and Lori Trash the Dress

You may be asking yourself, what the heck is trash the dress ?? Well, this post should cover everything you would want to know about it as a picture tutorial. Trash the dress is exactly what it sounds like in the sense that you put on your wedding dress (after you've worn it down the aisle of course) and for the sake of being creative, having fun, and just to wear it again, you do things you would typically never do in a wedding dress! Zach and Lori were kind enough to take a whole day with me to get some variety in how they could trash their dress. We snagged it on a run down building, drug it through a creek, splashed all kinds of paint all over it, and to top it all off, shredded it! We took things a little overboard with our session but that's what I love about these types of shoots.... no two are alike and you can do whatever you want in your dress! After all why shouldn't you?
